About this blog

About

A blog about raising healthy, happy cats the natural way - with herbs, honest research, and a lot of trial and error.

* * *
This isn't a brand. It's a person who loves her cats, grows her own herbs, and writes honestly about what she's learned.

Raising Cats Naturally was born out of frustration. Frustration with vague advice, with conflicting information, with the gap between what conventional pet care offers and what curious, research-minded cat owners actually need.

This blog is a record of what I've learned, tested, and refined over years of caring for my own cats holistically. It isn't a replacement for veterinary care - it's a companion to it. A resource for the questions your vet doesn't have time to answer.

Everything here is written from personal experience, backed by research, and offered with honesty about its limitations. I say when I don't know. I say when you need a vet. I say when something didn't work as well as I hoped.

What this blog is built on
I

Herbs & Plants

Growing, sourcing, and safely using herbs for feline health - from calming chamomile to immune-supporting echinacea. Only plants that are safe, researched, and genuinely useful.

II

Feline Wellness

Understanding cat health from the inside out - nutrition, coat and skin, anxiety, digestion, and preventative care. Because a well-nourished cat rarely needs rescuing.

III

Honest Writing

No affiliate pressure, no brand deals, no content written to rank rather than to help. Just a person sharing what she knows - including the mistakes and the dead ends.

I'm a cat mum, amateur herbalist, and obsessive researcher living in the English countryside with two cats and a garden that is slowly being taken over by catnip.

I've been practising natural cat care for six years, since my rescue cat Fig arrived with a chronic respiratory condition that conventional medicine couldn't quite resolve. Herbs, diet changes, and a completely different philosophy of health eventually sorted her out - and this blog is where I share everything I learned along the way.

I'm not a vet. I'm not a nutritionist. I'm a person who reads everything she can find, tests things carefully on her own cats, and writes honestly about the results. I hope something here helps you and yours.
